The purpose of this guide is to assist students in the field of Communication Studies with research methods and strategies.

An Introduction to Research Methods

Research methods are the strategies, processes, or techniques utilized in collecting data or evidence for analysis to uncover new information or improve understanding of a topic.

Different types of research methods use various tools for data collection. This section offer description of each type of research, which include (1) qualitative, (2) quantitative, and (3) mixed methods. This section will also display the distinction of each type of research through books available at the library, informative videos, descriptive infographics, and examples of studies.
